ICCA Dubai Culinary Scholarship Application Form Class of 2023

Dear Culinary Directors, Executive Chefs, Head Chefs, and Human Resources / Training & Development Managers, The ICCA Dubai Culinary Scholarship Program, the One Million Dirhams Continuing Education Award for the UAE Young Industry Chefs, the first-of-its-kind innovative industry education initiative undertaken by the International Centre for Culinary Arts (ICCA Dubai) in strategic partnership with the Emirates Culinary Guild (ECG), City & Guilds, London, and the Worldchefs completed another significant milestone in the year 2022. The graduating class of 2022 was the seventh consecutive batch of this empowerment- through-learning initiative that started in 2015. Last year, thirty-one young chefs joined the inspiring cohort of 156 graduate chefs who passed out over the last seven years. Through this program, 156 young chefs have received an International Vocational Qualification(IVQ) worth USD 6 Million. We are delighted with the outcome of the scholarship program on the candidates, with most of these graduates having exceptionally improved in their delivery at the workplace, with many getting promoted, and several others on the path to becoming leaders in the culinary pace. Like the editions before, all candidates will undergo the intensive ICCA Dubai – ‘Diploma in Advanced Culinary Arts - Cookery / Baking & Patisserie, City & Guilds, UK Level 2 IVQ – Diploma in Food Preparation and Culinary Arts – Food Preparation (8064-01) / Patisserie (8064-02), recognised by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority- KHDA, Government of Dubai. The program graduates will also be eligible for the ‘WorldChefs Certified Professional Cook’ under the WorldChefs Global Certification Scheme. The scholarship program for the Young Industry Chefs is about changing the lives of the selected chefs and, at the same time, helping support the industry with a quality workforce that will be fully equipped to meet the industry needs of today & tomorrow.
