ICCA Dubai Culinary Scholarship - Application Form 2021

Dear Culinary Directors, Executive Chefs, Head Chefs, and Human Resources / Training & Development Managers, It gives me great pleasure to inform you that the ICCA Dubai Culinary Scholarship, the One Million Dirham Continuing Education Award for UAE Young Industry Chefs is now inviting applications for vocational training programs in Cookery and Baking & Patisserie, for 2021. Since 2015, this Scholarship program has helped train and certify a total of 125 talented and deserving but financially underprivileged young chefs from the industry. It is especially important and meaningful that we are able to give back to this vibrant community, at a time when the whole industry has been deeply affected due to the repercussions of the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic. The program will impart Education and Training of International Industry Standards and is executed in strategic partnership with the Emirates Culinary Guild, World Association of Chefs Societies (WorldChefs) and City & Guilds, UK, with industry leaders supporting the initiative as Guest Trainers. Like the editions before, all candidates will be put through the intensive ICCA Dubai – ‘Diploma in Advanced Culinary Arts - Cookery / Baking & Patisserie, City & Guilds, UK Level 2 IVQ – Diploma in Food Preparation and Culinary Arts – Food Preparation (8064-01) / Patisserie (8064-02), recognized by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority- KHDA, Government of Dubai. The graduates of the program will also be eligible for the ‘WorldChefs Certified Professional Cook’, under the WorldChefs Global Certification Scheme. This program is about changing lives of the young chefs selected and at the same time helping support the industry with a quality workforce that will be fully equipped to meet the industry needs of today & tomorrow. We believe all training programs should be aligned with the opportunities and needs of the
